Los Angeles funk/rock band 100 Monkeys kicks off the TIFF Bell Lightbox celebration…
The Toronto International Film Festival takes over the city from Sept. 9 to 19, and as usual, there’ll be plenty of musical events held in conjunction with it.
The Sadies, Radio Radio, Karkwa, Twilight actor Jackson Rathbone’s 100 Monkeys and Fefe Dobson will perform at TIFF’s special Bell Lightbox Block Party on Sept. 12 to celebrate the opening of the new TIFF Bell Lightbox.
t’ll take over King Street West between John and Peter streets, and you’ll be able to get free cupcakes, cherry pie and ice cream, AND there’ll be a special surprise “international” Canadian act who’ll be announced the day before the event. The act will be introduced by CBC’s George Stroumboulopoulos.
Caps are coming up. This is so exciting! I love this movie already
TroixTV posted another outtake from Jackson’s photoshoot called “Messy hair, tacos & tequila”. Remember to subscribe to their channel for more!
Also, I’ve finally added two new pictures from the set of Girlfriend.

Jackson Rathbone: A potentially recurring role on ABC’s No Ordinary Family.
The 25-year-old actor—whose two summer films, Eclipse and The Last Airbender, collectively grossed nearly $1 billion worldwide—will play Trent Stafford, a high school classmate of Kay Panabaker telepathic Daphne. Trent was recently the victim of a home invasion robbery, and I’m guessing Daphne will join forces with her superhero parents to help catch the perp.
Rathbone last appeared on the small screen in 2009, when he guest-starred as a serial killer with multiple personalities on Criminal Minds.
N.O.F. premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 28.
