27 Debuts From Around The World In TIFF’s Discovery Programme

Toronto –The Toronto International Film Festival continues to shine a light on the works of up-and-coming filmmakers with this year’s Discovery programme. A group of 27 titles make up the diverse Discovery selection, showcasing provocative feature films by new and emerging directors. As well, TIFF announces the addition of the World Premiere of Larysa Kondracki’s The Whistleblower to its line-up of Special Presentations.

SNMag has a new Q&A Session with Jackson that features two new images and a new Airbender promo. I don’t know about you, but I’m loving all the new photos that are coming our way this week. It’s about time some more of Jackson began floating around! The article talks about Eclipse, The Last Airbender as well as 100 Monkeys and Jackson’s current dating status.

SNMag: We have to ask: Do you have a girlfriend?
JR: No, no, I am single. I got a lot of stuff going on so it’s hard to find time to even go on a date these days. But that doesn’t mean I’m not looking. So every once in a while I’ll get a day off and try to go on a date if I can…find a nice girl at a coffee shop or something.

SNMag: What can you tell us about your tattoos?
JR: I’ve got six tattoos total. I am planning on getting a couple more maybe within the next month or so. I think my next tattoo is going to be a line out of TS Eliot’s The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. It’s one of my favorite poems ever.

Also, if you missed the Hollywood Crush Gilfriend Plot Details, here’s a short wrap up of what we’ve learnt about the film:

Evan Grey is a man in his twenties with down syndrome who wants to find love from a woman, and the film (appropriately titled) is about his journey to find a girlfriend. During the course of the tale, Evan comes into some sort of means — which we assume to be money — that he uses to help the girl he’s loved since high school (Shannon), who is currently a single mom.

“Jackson’s character and I have an actual relationship that has since gone sour that still exists, but my relationship with Evan is a friendship,” Shannon explained of the “love” triangle. “And he doesn’t quite understand what having a girlfriend means.”
