Young actor, Jackson Rathbone, had his heart set on a future in classical theater and was headed for the Royal Scottish Academy when he signed with Pat Cutler at Cutler Management while giving L.A. and the film industry a try for the summer. He soon landed a recurring role on DISNEY 411 interviewing Disney Channel stars, such as Hillary Duff and Raven Baxter.
When the fall came, Cutler persuaded Rathbone to stay in LA and pursue a film career rather than attend The Royal Scottish Academy. Taking her advice, he settled in for the long haul and booked several commercials right off the bat as well as substantial roles in TV including CLOSE TO HOME, an MOW for Hallmark, THE O.C., and THE WAR AT HOME, a pilot where he played Sherry Stringer's son. Rathbone was also cast in several independent films, including a part in the feature MOLDING CLAY, and a role in PRAY FOR MORNING, an independent thriller from writer-director Cartney Wearn. However, he decided to focus on what made him the happiest, and enrolled in the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy as a high school theatre major where he flourished in Shakespeare. He performed in the Southwest Shakespeare Festival as Ferdinand in The Tempest.
In his off-time, Rathbone writes music. He's performed at small open-mic nights and recently booked a gig at The Gardenia in Hollywood.
