A few months ago, we asked you to send in any questions you had for Jackson Rathbone. It was tough, but we managed to select a few of the best to be included in our interview. After much anticipation, we've finally heard back with the answers to our interview.

We'd first of all like to thank Jackson's management, for being so kind to us and working hard (despite your higher priorities!) to get our questions answered. Of course, big thanks go out to Jackson for making time to answer our questions!

Note: Please do not repost this interview anywhere. You can, however, link to it.

You play Jasper Hale in the upcoming film Twilight, was there anything special that drew you to the role?

The chance to work with Catherine Hardwicke was the biggest draw for me. I've been a big fan since Thirteen and I felt we really hit it off in our auditions/meetings. Plus the chance to play vampire! As soon as I read the teaser for New Moon at the end of Twilight, I was hooked.

How do you feel about author Stephenie Meyer placing you on her website as a possible Edward Cullen before the movie was cast? Did you have any interest in playing Edward?

That's flattering, but Rob Pattinson is Edward Cullen to me. I even started calling him Ed off set when we'd hang out. People thought we were brothers in real life!

How would you explain the part of Jasper to someone that's never read the books before? Do you and he share any similarities?

Jasper is a vampire who has recently chosen to eat only animals instead of humans, along with his new found family of "vegetarian" vampires. When his brother, Edward, brings home a human girl as a love interest, Jasper is concerned about his ability to control his hunger, but wants Edward to be happy, and will fight to see that he is. (That's just the teaser.)

What's the best thing about being a 'vampire'? Are you personally a fan of the genre?

I've always been a fan of the genre. Lost Boys is a favorite. One of the best things about playing a vampire would be letting out the animalistic side of myself.

The most popular question throughout the Twilight fan base is: who would you like to see Bella end up with, Edward or Jacob? Why?

Edward, hands down. Jacob's a good guy, but Ed's my brother, so... I'm biased.

Jasper and Alice share a special bond throughout the series. Would you like to see Jasper and Alice's history appear in the films as it does in the books?

Very much so. I love Jasper's backstory and I think Alice and Jasper's first encounter would play beautifully on film. I hope we get to do it.

Are you aware that the Twilight fans have dubbed you 'Jacksper'?

I like it! Got a nice ring to it.

How would you spend a day with Jasper? Do you think you two would get along?

I'd be a little worried to hang out with Jasper... I'd insist he'd eat beforehand. Maybe we could have a barbeque. I do like my steak rare.

What does a day on the set of Twilight involve?

Wake up average of 6am, 45 minute ride to set. Breakfast while dressing, then to hair and make-up, then back to the trailer to see how long I can read or play guitar until they call me to set. Then, I work with incredibly talented artists. It's great.

Have you had any memorable/strange fan encounters yet?

I've been so impressed by the commitment of the "Twi-hards" to visit the set. They drove across states to come to watch the filming of Twilight, and that was just so impressive. Nothing strange so far; I'm lucky, my fans are so sweet and supportive.

Some of your fans have expressed interest in your music. Is there anywhere that we can hear a sample of it?

I'm in a band with actor, Ben Graupner, and former Stevedores drummer, Ben Johnson, it's called 100monkeys and you can hear some of our unmixed and improvised live jam session album, Monster Deluxe, if you go to myspace.com/these100monkeys

Tell us three random facts about yourself:

1. I slept under my desk all through my senior year at Interlochen Arts Academy.
2. I'm terrified of spiders.
3. I'm fairly colorblind. I mix up colors like blues and purples or reds and greens.

Since you declared yourself single in your interview with the Twilight Lexicon, can you tell us what attributes you find most attractive in a girl?

A girl who knows what she wants and has a drive in life, Definitely a girl who is artistically inclined, musicality a plus. I'm very southern in my dating habits.

What keeps you interested in acting?

The chance to walk in different people's shoes all the time.

Tell us a bit about your upcoming film, Hurt. What kind of character is Conrad?

He's an artist who is trying to hold his family together in the aftermath of his father's death. He tries to make light of things, but inside he's wounded.

There's been some confusion on where to send fan mail to you. Can you give us a legitimate address?

The Paradigm Agency
Attn: Chris Schmidt for Jackson Rathbone
360 N. Crescent Drive
North Building
Beverly Hills, 90210

There are fan projects all around for your co-stars, such as sending candy to Kellan Lutz, jewellery for Ashley Greene and socks for Michael Welch. What would you like to see overflowing your mailbox?

Guitar picks. I'm constantly losing them and need as many as I can get. That would be pretty sweet to have overflowing my mailbox.

Our site is closely affiliated with Twilight Australia. Some of our visitors are curious to know if you've been to Australia or plan to visit in the future.

As a baby, I took my first steps in Australia, or so my parents tell me. I would love to visit as soon as I can get the time off. If only I could film there...

If roles were reversed, how do you think Jasper would have approached Alice?
asked by melissa a, rhode island, united states.

He would watch her from afar, basking in her beauty, trying to summon the nerve to approach such a radiant creature; his hands have always been steady in war, and she makes them tremble for the first time- he'd be nervous and very polite.

You've been talking about this film you've done, directed by Rob Schneider. Could you tell us what is it about?
asked by barb, argentina.

The movie is called Big Stan. It's about Stan (Schneider) learning kung fu before going to prison so he won't get beat up, or worse. Stan saves my butt a few times and cleans up the prison, making all the inmates get along, but the Warden won't have it.

If you could walk a mile in someone's shoes for a day, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
asked by jess, australia.

Bob Dylan walking to see Woody Guthrie in the hospital for the first time.

You seem incredibly well-read and cultured. What is your favorite era in history? Do you have a particular genre of music or books you are drawn to?
asked by k. shannon, south dakota, united states.

The Beat Generation had it all. Amazing jazz, art, revolutions, Jack Keruac, Allen Ginsberg, Ken Kesey, etc. Have they created a time machine yet?

Hi, Jackson! I just want to say I'm so excited to see you in a huge film like this, I wish you all the luck in future success. But my question is, with this role were able to add some of your personal style to any of the clothes that were picked out for you that have to be on screen?
asked by lisa richfield, minnesota, united states.

I was able to insist on cowboy boots. They're incredibly comfortable and I figured they suited both Jasper and myself very nicely.

Have you visited any of the fan sites dedicated to Jasper, Jasper & Alice or yourself?

My manager and my mother both keep me updated, and I must admit, I've browsed them once or twice. The fan-site creators are incredibly talented, the layouts are outstanding and I'm proud to be thus represented and honored by their work.

We'd like to thank you again for taking the time to answer our questions! Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans?

Thank you so much for your support and enthusiasm! I couldn't act without an audience and I couldn't have a better audience than my fans. Ya'll are amazing! Thank you!
